The Akhil Bharatiya Brahmin Mahasangh has organised a special guidance session on building redevelopment to mark the New Year, focusing on an issue that is increasingly popular yet legally complex for flat owners and housing societies.
The programme will be held today, January 2, from 6.30 pm to 8 pm at Shubhamangal Hall, Khare Town, Dharampeth.
The session aims to help citizens make informed and cautious decisions before entering into redevelopment agreements. Renowned advocate and redevelopment expert Adv Sandeep Shastri will lead the programme on the theme, “Don’t get trapped in building redevelopment — know the facts before taking a decision.”
Adv Shastri will explain key legal safeguards, statutory requirements, developer responsibilities, consent clauses, and common pitfalls that often result in disputes and financial losses. An interactive segment will allow participants to raise individual queries and seek clarifications.
According to the organisers, the objective is to empower residents with practical knowledge so that redevelopment is viewed as a transparent and legally secure process rather than a risky venture. Jay Pathak of the Akhil Bharatiya Brahmin Mahasangh and Adv Ganesh Khanzhode said that entry to the session is free.
