An extempore speech competition was successfully organized on Monday, January 05, 2026, at the Senate Hall of the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur.
The competition saw Dr. Vaidehi Dakwale (VNIT) securing the first position, while the second position was awarded to Mrs Veena Mishra of Central school, Ambazari and the third position to Sri Naveen Kumar Srivastava of Joint Controller,Defence Accounts office.
Event Highlights
The event was organized under the aegis of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) Nagpur, Office-2.
Chairperson: Prof. Gyaan Prakash Singh, In-charge Director, VNIT.
Chief Guest: Shri P. Narendra Kumar, General Manager (HR) and Official Language Head, Western Coalfields Limited (WCL).
Special Guest: Shri Sachin Jagdale, Registrar, VNIT.
Key Proceedings
The program commenced with a welcome address by Shri S.P. Singh, Officer on Special Duty (Hindi). He also introduced the invited judges for the occasion:

Smt. Prabha Lalit Singh, Renowned Litterateur.
The proceedings were conducted by Dr. Bharti Polke, and the formal vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Poonam Uikey.
Participant Performance
Approximately 24 participants from various offices showcased their knowledge and eloquence on interesting and relevant topics, leaving the audience spellbound with their oratorical skills.
