Ahead of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation General Elections 2025–26, the city administration has announced changes to public transport operations due to election-related arrangements. A total of 525 buses have been requisitioned to transport polling officers and staff for voting scheduled on January 15, 2026.
As a result, city bus services will remain completely suspended on January 14, 2026. On polling day, January 15, bus services will operate partially on selected routes from 5:00 am till late night, with reduced frequency. Authorities have said normal bus operations will resume from January 16 as per the regular timetable.
Election officials have expressed regret for the inconvenience and appealed to citizens for cooperation, stating that the measures are necessary to ensure smooth, fair and orderly conduct of the civic polls.
