A grand Anand Mela was organized by Jhankar Mahila Mandal, WCL and WIPS on 3 February 2026 at the WCL Indora Complex, Nagpur. The Mela was inaugurated by the former CMD of WCL, Shri J. P. Dwivedi. The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Director (Finance) Shri Bikram Ghosh, Director (Human Resources) Dr. Hemant Sharad Pande, Director (Planning & Projects) Shri Sandeep Paranjpe, and Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Ajay Madhukar Mehtre. Former President of Jhankar Mahila Mandal, Smt. Abha Dwivedi, Vice President Smt. Reena Pande, Smt. Shruti Paranjpe, and Smt. Sonali Mehtre were also present.
The Mela featured attractive stalls from all areas of WCL as well as from reputed institutions in and around Nagpur, which drew significant attention from visitors. These stalls offered a wide range of food items, uniforms, jewellery, and essential goods. The enthusiastic participation of a large number of people made the event vibrant, colourful, and memorable. The Anand Mela proved to be a wonderful platform celebrating talent, creativity, and self-reliance, while also fostering social bonding and harmony.
