Contaminated municipal water supply is not limited to Mankapur alone.
As reported earlier, residents from 49 additional localities across nine municipal zones have complained of receiving unsafe and polluted water in their taps.Soon after taking charge as Mayor, Neeta Thakre reviewed the situation with senior officials of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Orange City Water (OCW). She directed authorities to take immediate corrective measures and resolve the issue within seven days.
Officials confirmed that complaints have been received from 50 localities across the city — one of the highest numbers recorded in recent times. Notably, the affected areas span nine out of the ten zones under the NMC, highlighting the widespread nature of the problem.
