In preparation for the upcoming Ram Navmi Shobhayatra, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has intensified efforts to ensure that procession routes across the city remain clean, safe, and easily accessible for devotees. The Solid Waste Management Department has undertaken extensive cleaning operations, particularly in the Old Bhandara Road area, where officials are closely monitoring the progress on the ground.
Earlier, MLA Pravin Datke along with Municipal Commissioner Dr. Vipin Itankar had inspected the Ram Navmi Shobhayatra route and directed officials to ensure smooth movement and maintain proper sanitation standards. Following these instructions, Deputy Commissioner (SWM) Rajesh Bhagat and Chief Sanitation Officer Dr. Gajendra Mahalle conducted site visits to review the ongoing work. They instructed staff to expedite the process while maintaining quality execution.
The civic body is deploying modern machinery to clean roads, remove garbage, dust, and other obstructions along the Ram Navmi Shobhayatra route. Additionally, a system of continuous monitoring has been put in place to maintain cleanliness and ensure that devotees do not face any inconvenience during the procession.
