On the occasion of Maharashtra Day, singer and social activist Amruta Fadnavis unveiled a special musical tribute titled Naman Tula, celebrating the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the spirit of Maharashtra. Presented by T-Series and featuring actor Riteish Deshmukh, the song was released on May 1 as a modern-day Gaurav-Geet dedicated to Swarajya, courage and Maharashtrian pride.
Composed by veteran musician Anu Malik with lyrics penned by Chaitanya Kulkarni, the song blends the traditional essence of Powadas with contemporary music elements aimed at connecting with younger audiences. The visually rich music video showcases Maharashtra’s iconic forts, traditional culture and the valour of Shivaji Maharaj’s Mavlas. Directed by Shakti Hasija, the video features Amruta Fadnavis in a traditional Maharashtrian look, while Riteish Deshmukh’s appearance adds an emotional and patriotic touch to the project.
Speaking about the release, Amruta Fadnavis said the song was her heartfelt tribute to Maharashtra’s glorious history and the sacrifices of countless warriors who fought for Swarajya. Riteish Deshmukh also described the track as deeply emotional, saying it gave him “goosebumps” when he first heard it. Released across major streaming platforms and on YouTube, Naman Tula has already started drawing attention online for its grand visuals, cultural themes and patriotic spirit.
