Kalamna Police have registered an FIR against four individuals for allegedly posing as journalists and attempting to extort money from a trader by threatening him. The accused have been identified as Gaurav Hariprasad Wande (31), Sachin Sureshsingh Bais (42), Narendra Laxmanji Chouke (57), and Jitendra Ashokkumar Kewalani (42).
According to police sources, the accused allegedly approached the trader claiming to be media persons and demanded money while threatening adverse publicity. Following a complaint lodged by the trader, Kalamna Police registered a case under relevant provisions of the law and launched an investigation. Further inquiries are underway to determine whether the accused were involved in similar incidents elsewhere.
