City-based Dr Hedaoo has been recognised as a Sportsperson of Outstanding Merit (SOM) by the Gymnastics Federation of India (GFI) in recognition of her years of dedication and contribution to the sport as an athlete, coach and international judge.
The honour also gives her the opportunity to contribute to the federation’s governance by representing athletes, participating in key decision-making and supporting the development of gymnastics in the country.Expressing her gratitude, Dr Hedaoo thanked the Gymnastics Federation of India, the Maharashtra Amateur Gymnastics Association (MAGA) and the Gymnastics Association Nagpur for their unwavering support.
She also acknowledged the encouragement of her parents, teachers, mentors, coaches, teammates, students and friends, dedicating the recognition to everyone who supported her journey in gymnastics.
