The Shri Hanuman Temple, popularly known as Hanuman Lok in Jamsanwali, is set to witness a massive influx of devotees during the two-day Guru Purnima celebrations on July 28 and 29, with more than 300,000 devotees expected to visit the shrine.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the annual festival, the temple trust and Chhindwara district administration have put in place comprehensive arrangements covering security, crowd regulation, traffic management, healthcare, sanitation, drinking water, parking and emergency services.
Preparations were reviewed at a meeting chaired by Collector Neeraj Kumar Vashishtha and Superintendent of Police Prakash Chandra Parihar. Officials from various departments, along with representatives of the temple trust, were assigned responsibilities to oversee different aspects of the event.
Temple Trust President Gopal Sharma said elaborate arrangements have been made to facilitate uninterrupted darshan for devotees. Special attention has been given to queue management, security deployment, access to the sanctum, cleanliness and the availability of drinking water throughout the temple premises.
The celebrations will begin on July 28 with a devotional cultural programme featuring bhajans by a renowned singer. The main Guru Purnima observance on July 29 will include a special abhishek, worship rituals, maha aarti and a community bhandara for devotees.
To make travel easier for pilgrims arriving by rail, the temple trust will operate free shuttle services between Sausar Railway Station and Jamsanwali Dham during the festival.
The temple administration has appealed to devotees to follow the directions of officials and volunteers so that the religious event can be conducted safely, peacefully and without inconvenience.
