A fatal incident took place in July at the Railway quarters behind St Anthony School Ajni when a balcony of one of the quarter collapsed and damaged two bicycles. Fortunately, no was hurt in this incident. The incident that took place a month ago and still no efforts have been made by the railway official to repair the damage quarters.

The quarters were built in 1972 and since then the official has not taken any measures to maintain these quarters.

Questions are being raised that even after a month and a half the debris of the collapsed balcony is still untouched. No repairs have been started yet.

Also, the railway employees are scared to reside in such unsteady and dilapidated quarters. After the incident, the employees have demanded that the administration should check each and every quarter and confirm whether they are fit for living or not.
