Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) held a function on Monday at the statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar at Samvidhan Chowk to pay floral tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr Ambedkar, Architect of Indian Constitution, to mark his 65th death anniversary.
Dayashankar Tiwari, Mayor, officers and others paid the tributes at the statue.
Later, another function was organised in the Central Office of NMC in which Tiwari garlanded the portrait of Dr Ambedkar and paid homage to the great leader.
Radhakrishnan B. Municipal Commissioner, Ravindra Bhelave, Deputy Commissioner, Ranjana Lade, Municipal Secretary, Priti Mishrikotkar, Education Officer, Manish Soni, Public Relations Officer, Ravindra Page, Rajesh Wasnik and others also offered floral tributes to the portrait. Corporation officers and staff members were present on the occasion.
