On the evening of July 29, 2025, an unidentified civilian body was discovered floating in the Kanhan River near the Kamptee Military Cantonment. The incident came to light around 6:00 PM, prompting immediate action from local authorities.
Police from Juni Kamptee Station retrieved the body and shifted it to the Government Hospital, Kamptee, for postmortem examination and identification procedures.
Officials have confirmed that the deceased remains unidentified, and further details regarding the cause of death and identity are currently under investigation.
