Nagpur’s centrally located Dhantoli Garden is gearing up for a thrilling transformation. The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has greenlit plans to turn the serene 4.7-acre park into the city’s first Urban Adventure Park in the heart of town — a bold step to bring adrenaline, fitness, and nature together.
Say goodbye to quiet strolls and hello to zip lines, rope ladders, climbing walls, Burma bridges, and balancing beams. The park will be split into zones: a child-friendly area with safe, low-height play setups, and a Teen-Adult Zone featuring high rope structures and vertical nets designed to challenge strength and endurance.
But the fun won’t compromise inclusivity. NMC’s design includes nature trails, plant education boards, shaded walking paths, and plenty of resting spots for senior citizens and families who still want peace amid the action.
Part of an ₹88.10 lakh modernization drive across six major city gardens, Dhantoli’s upgrade complements larger projects like Surya Nagar’s Lata Mangeshkar Garden, but stands out for its core-city location and community legacy.
Already popular with morning walkers, the garden is now poised to attract school groups, fitness lovers, and tourists alike. This high-energy upgrade promises not just recreation but reinvention — turning a decades-old park into a dynamic public space where health, learning, and fun collide.
