Hiten Dharpure, a student of School of Scholars, Atrey Layout, has brought international acclaim to Nagpur by earning a Guinness World Record for creating the world’s smallest robotic arm.
Measuring just 39.250 mm, Hiten’s groundbreaking invention surpasses the previous Guinness World Record of 44.49 mm set by Kelton Serra of the United States. Despite its miniature size, the robotic arm is a fully functional electromechanical device capable of replicating the complex movements of a human arm.
Speaking about his achievement, Hiten said that his goal was to push the boundaries of micro-manufacturing and demonstrate that high-precision robotics can be developed using accessible technology. Designed and engineered entirely from scratch, the project highlights the potential of advanced STEM applications within an exceptionally compact footprint.
This remarkable accomplishment showcases innovation, precision engineering, and youthful creativity, placing Nagpur on the global map of technological excellence and inspiring aspiring innovators worldwide.
