Operations at the Tata Consultancy Services office in Nashik have been suspended and movement within the premises restricted as police intensify their investigation into allegations of sexual harassment and attempted religious conversion involving company employees.
Nashik Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik said nine individuals have been named as accused across related cases, with investigators suspecting the incidents were carried out in an organised manner.
Among the accused are Nida Khan, charged with religious harassment, and Ashwini Chainani, a former HR head, who allegedly discouraged complainants and enabled the accused, police said.
Karnik said the probe is also examining whether there was any external influence behind the alleged acts.
“We are looking into possible funding angles and international links. The ATS and NIA have been informed, and any leads that emerge will be pursued as part of the investigation,” he said.
